In vivo laboratory

Mediso 3T nanoPET-MRIMediso nanoPET-MRI scanner

A preclinical small animal scanner for magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and positron emission tomography (PET). The superconducting 3 Tesla magnet allows MRI with a  spatial resolution down to 100 µm and the PET has a resolution of 700 µm. The absolute quantification accuracy is over 97%. (Installed 2016)

Mediso nanoSPECT-CT

SPECTMediso nano SPECT-CT scanner

Single photon emission computed tomography. On the fly Monte Carlo based multi-pinhole reconstruction. SPECT quantification by CT based attenuation and scatter correction. List-mode SPECT acquisition and processing for heart, brain and other applications. Non-multiplexed pinhole apertures. 300 μm visible resolution. Over 97% quantification accuracy. Up to 13,000 cps/MBq sensitivity by 144 pinhole. (Installed 2016)

CT

Computed tomography. 80 W/1 mA X-ray tube power. <10 mGy exposure CT dose. 2-12 cm variable TFOV. x 7,6 zoom. < 10 μm isotropic voxel size.

Triumph PET-SPECT-CTTrifoil PET-SPECT-CT scanner

The Triumph is a trimodality instrument with PET, SPECT and CT in the same instrument. (Installed 2008)

Radiochemistry laboratory

Chromaster Alpha HPLC Chromaster hplc alpha

An HPLC-UV-RADIO system for semipreparative purification and analysis. The system runs with OpenLAB software and the pump manage up to 10 mL/min. The UV detector has a remote flow cell placed inside the shielded fume hood. (Installed 2015)

Chromaster Beta HPLC Chromaster hplc beta

Analytical HPLC-UV-RADIO system. The system runs with Chromaster software. The UV-detector is a diode array dector (DAD) which simultaneously analyze a range of wavelenghts. This system is also equipped with an automated fraction collector. (Installed 2019)

Ion chambers (dose calibrator)Dose calibrator

The radiochemistry laboratory is equipped with two ion chambers and is used to measure radioactivity in radiochemistry optimisation. (Installed 2019)

Gallium-68 generatorObninsk gallium-68 generator

The gallium-68 generator is used to produce gallium-68 for radiochemistry work. It can be eluted 2-3 times per day. (Generator renewed anually)

Automated Synthesis ModuleGE FastLab2 syntehsis module

GE FastLab2, an cassette based automated syntheis module for productions of standardised PET and SPECT tracers. (Installed 2020)

Cell harvesterCellharvester

A cell harvester suitable for radioactive work.

Cell incubatorsCell incubator

In the cell laboratory there are two cell incubators.

Cyclone PhosphorimagerCyclone imager

High resolution filmless autoradiography. Quantitative images for all commonly used radioisotopes. Used for instant thin layer chromatography anaysis (iTLC) in radiochemistry as well as autoradiography of thin tissue slices.

Typhoon PhosphorimagerTyphoon imager from General Electrics

GE Typhoon phosphorimager system for high resolution high sensitivity autoradiopgraphy of frozen sections. (Installed 2018)

Scintillation counterScintillation counter

For samples with scintillation liquid. Used with for example tritium.

Gamma counter, Perkin Elmer Wizard2Wizard 2 gamma counter from Perkin Elmer

Suitable for high energy gamma emitters, low activity samples. Ideal for all gamma emitters-broad energy range (up to 2 000 keV) allows studies of various nuclides. Isotope library contains information for 51 radionuclides. (Installed 2015)

Well counter

For organ biodistriution. An in house 5 well design with with high sensitivity and accurate measurment of large series with low radioactivity in biological samples. Used extensively in in vivo biodistribution studies of tracers with short-lived radionuclides. (New software 2019)
