The Tuber aestivum uncinatum European Research Group will have its next meeting on November 14th - 16th 2018 on Campus Gotland in Visby town, on the Swedish island of Gotland. Campus Gotland, situated in the medieval town Visby, is part of Uppsala University. The meeting consists of a scientific conference with oral and poster presentations, as well as a one day field trip to producing natural truffle habitats and truffle orchards. Following the conference, the Gotland Truffle Festival takes place, featuring a small truffle market, truffle menus at local restaurants, a gala truffle dinner at Wisby hotel and much more. Festival events are booked separately.

Program outline of TAUESG 2018 conference November 14th - 16th:

Nov. 14th: 10:00-17:00 Opening of conference. Scientific presentations. 19:00-22:00 Evening poster session with buffé. 

Nov. 15th: 08:00-17:00 Field trip to local truffières and truffle brunch. 18:30 TAUESG Truffle conference dinner in Visby.

Nov. 16th: 09:00-15:00 Scientific presentations. Closing of conference.

Conference participation fee: SEK 2500. Student (MSc or PhD students) conference fee: SEK 1500. The conference fee covers participation in the conference, coffe, lunch and field trip including meals, poster session buffé and conference dinner.

Your final destination is Visby Airport (VBY). Visby is a 35 min flight from Stockholm and most commonly you will change flight in Stockholm at either Arlanda Airport (ARN) or Bromma Airport (BMA).

Ferries carrying passengers and vehicles depart from Oskarshamn on the southern east coast of Sweden and from Nynäshamn one hour south of Stockholm. 
Adjoining coaches run between the Nynäshamn ferry terminal and Stockholm central station, for those travelling without a car. See map.

In Visby town the ferry terminal, hotel, hostel, restaurants and conference venue (Campus Gotland) are within walking distance. 
Visby Airport is situated 6 km north of Visby town, a 10 minute drive.
