Half-time seminar: Self-assembly of therapeutic peptides
- Date: –15:00
- Location: Biomedicinskt centrum, BMC Room A1:111a and online via Zoom (Link TBA)
- Lecturer: Ellen Brunzell, PhD student at the Department of Medicinal Chemistry and SweDeliver
- Organiser: Department of Medicinal Chemistry, SweDeliver
- Contact person: Magnus Bergström, Department of Medicinal Chemistry
Ellen Brunzell, PhD student at the Dep. of Medicinal Chemistry and SweDeliver, presents her work to characterize the structure of self-assembled peptides by using scattering measurements. The early stages of aggregation and effect of solvent additives are investigated. The results from these studies can be used in research of diseases where peptide aggregation plays a major role.
Researcher bio Ellen Brunzell received her master of science degree in pharmacy from Uppsala University summer of 2020. She wrote her master thesis at Uppsala University in the pharmaceutical physical chemistry research group, and in autumn 2020, Ellen was recruited as a PhD student to the same group.
